Good to know:
- In the canton of Zurich, mushroom picking is not permitted during the closed season from the first to the tenth day of the month.
- There is also a limit of one kilogram per person per day.
- Mushrooms that are too old or very young must remain in the forest.
- A container with good air circulation, preferably a basket, should be used for picking.
- Mushrooms should be consumed as fresh as possible, in appropriate quantities and well cooked.
- There are 31 mushroom control points in the canton of Zurich, most of which are free of charge (except during the closed season).
