Accident Teenager becomes trapped in store door and dies
A 16-year-old was trapped in a store door in Vevey VD during a burglary attempt on Friday night. He died on the spot.

The Vaud police found the boy lifeless at around 4.00 a.m., as they explained on Sunday morning at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency. This confirmed a report by several media outlets. His body had been trapped at neck level between the sashes of a sliding door of a store near the station.
Despite resuscitation attempts, the teenager died on the spot. According to initial findings of the investigation, the victim had tried to break into the store, a sandwich store.
He had managed to open the closed electric sliding door and push his upper body through before the door closed on his neck, the police wrote. They are clearly assuming an accident. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact sequence of events.
