Iran will "respond firmly" if the USA enters into a war against the Islamic Republic alongside Israel. At the moment, Iran is not considering any other scenario than defending itself, said the Iranian ambassador to the UN in Geneva on Wednesday.

The USA was partly to blame, because without it Israel could do nothing, Ali Bahreini told correspondents accredited to the UN in Geneva (ACANU). Iran does not want to hear anything about negotiations at the moment. All its energy is being used to defend itself, the ambassador emphasized. Despite the weakening of its allies in the region, Iran says it is "confident about its military potential" in the medium term. It has been preparing for this for decades.

A lawsuit at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague is also out of the question, because: "The international organizations have become useless, especially in view of Israel's crimes," said Bahreini.
