The heaviest pumpkin in Switzerland weighs 766 kilograms. With this record-breaking specimen, grower Florian Isler from Esslingen in the canton of Zurich won the Swiss pumpkin weighing championship on Saturday in Jona SG - with the Squash pumpkin variety.

Isler already won a year ago with a specimen weighing 727.5 kilograms. This year, he also took second place with the Atlantic Giant pumpkin variety. This pumpkin weighs 728.5 kilograms, as the organizers announced on Saturday.

Sergio Lima Torres from Konolfingen in the canton of Bern took third place with his pumpkin weighing 485.5 kilograms.

The Swiss Pumpkin and Vegetable Weighing Championships took place for the 12th time.
