The village of Brienz GR, which was threatened by a landslide, remained closed to residents on Saturday. The municipality of Albula cited precipitation and fog as the reason, which obstructed visibility of the landslide slope.

According to the municipality of Albula/Alvra, the fog was affecting the optical monitoring systems. Opening the village to the evacuated residents would be too risky under these circumstances, which is why the originally planned visit to the village had to be canceled.
According to the communiqué, farming is also restricted in the areas around the village. Only partial areas may be entered.
The village was opened to visitors on Friday. 86 people took the opportunity to visit their houses and apartments.
