After heavy rain in Italy, several thousand people have had to leave their houses and apartments as a precaution. A 20-year-old man died in his car in the masses of water.

In other parts of the country, such as Calabria and Sicily, city centers are also under water. Parked cars were washed away in many places. Videos also showed scooters drifting through flooded streets. Meteorologists predict that the situation will ease over the next few days.
