A robbery was committed in an apartment in Oberwil BL late on Thursday evening. Two residents were injured by the three robbers and had to be taken to hospital, as reported by the Basel police on Friday.

The perpetrators forced their way into an apartment on the third floor of an apartment building on Bottmingerstrasse at around 11.30 p.m., according to the police. There, the strangers attacked an 82-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman and "bound and gagged them at gunpoint".
The masked robbers then managed to flee in an unknown direction, according to the report. An immediate search for them has so far been unsuccessful. The police are looking for witnesses and have offered a reward of 5,000 Swiss francs for information leading to the identification of the perpetrators.
