A minor asylum seeker has been found dead in a stream near Chiasso. According to the Ticino juvenile justice authorities, so far there are no indications of third-party involvement.

Officers from the cantonal police, the fire department from the Mendrisiotto regional rescue center and paramedics from the 144 emergency number were only able to determine that the teenager had died.

According to unconfirmed media reports, the deceased teenager is said to be from North Africa.
