Lucerne police found a woman and a child dead in an apartment in Emmenbrücke LU on Saturday morning. They are talking about a suspected homicide and have arrested a man, as they announced on Saturday.

The police have started an investigation at the scene. Specialists from the Institute of Forensic Medicine and the Forensic Institute Zurich have been called in, as the Lucerne police reported on Saturday.
Due to the ongoing investigations, the police and public prosecutor are currently unable to provide any further information on this suspected homicide, according to the communiqué. The authorities will communicate actively again as soon as new information is available.
The Emmen public prosecutor's office is conducting the investigation. The man arrested is presumed innocent.
