The Solothurn public prosecutor's office has brought murder charges against a 22-year-old man: He ran over a young woman in Bellach SO in April 2023.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the public prosecutor's office accuses the man of deliberately hitting and killing the woman, who was unknown to him.

The accused has confessed and is undergoing early execution of measures, the public prosecutor's office added. It has not yet been decided when the trial will take place at the Solothurn-Lebern district court.
