Before moving in, the current 25-year-old women's clinic will be renovated over a period of nine months, as the Luks announced on Wednesday. Renovation is particularly necessary due to the building and ventilation technology.
The Luks' laboratory areas are to be brought together on the first floor and first basement floor of the clinic, it added. This means that upcoming renovations can be dispensed with.
In its press release, the Luks emphasizes "sensible procedural and professional bundling" and "synergies in the therapy services" as advantages. The solution also means that the existing clinic infrastructure can largely be retained.
The new women's clinic and children's hospital will be ready for occupancy in 2026. The old children's hospital will be demolished. This solution means that the current women's clinic will be reused.
