The British royal family is encouraging others affected by cancer on World Cancer Day. Princess Kate (43) had a photo published which, according to the palace, was taken by her youngest son Prince Louis (6). It shows her standing in a forest with her arms outstretched.

Kate wrote that we should not forget to promote and nurture everything that lies beyond the illness. The message was signed with "C" for Catherine, her official name. The wife of heir to the throne Prince William underwent chemotherapy herself due to a cancer diagnosis.
Her father-in-law King Charles III (76) is also being treated for cancer. The palace announced the illness a year ago, on February 5, 2024. No details were given.
"On this World Cancer Day, we send love to all those facing a cancer diagnosis," the royal family wrote on social media. This is also aimed at doctors, nurses, charities and families who work tirelessly to support those affected.
