Homicide Zurich District Court: Woman murderer receives 17 years
On Friday, the Zurich District Court sentenced a 27-year-old man to 17 years imprisonment for murder. He had brutally killed a 54-year-old woman in Zurich's Langstrasse district in January 2022.

The court ordered outpatient therapy during the sentence. After serving his prison sentence, the Romanian will have to leave Switzerland for 15 years. The verdict is not yet final. It can be appealed to the High Court of the Canton of Zurich.
The accused had confessed to his crime from the outset. After the bloody crime in Zurich, he had traveled to Graz (A). There he killed another woman two weeks later.
In Austria, he has already been sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and committed to a closed institution. Only when he has served this sentence can he begin his sentence in Switzerland. He was temporarily transferred to Switzerland for the trial in Zurich.
