The question of whether singing shows are worthwhile is hotly debated in the music scene. In fact, for every successful career there is a counter-example that has disappeared into oblivion without a sound. This is just as true for England or Germany as it is for Switzerland.
Is "Sing It Your Way" an exception? If you take the only winner so far , singer/songwriter Andryy, as a yardstick, you can hope so. The facts speak for themselves: the singer from Winterthur can now make a living from his music, and he has had successes such as his performance at the St. Gallen Openair, which "exceeded all my expectations", as he says.
Andryy also sings the official song for the Swiss Football Super League, and his hit "Ich liebes wie du mich verändrisch" has been covered by a veritable who's who of the Swiss pop scene. And when Baschi, Marius Bear, Nemo or Adrian Stern bow to a talent in this way, you can be a little proud.
Andryy has nevertheless remained modest and true to himself. This quickly becomes apparent during his meeting with Alice Paroissien in the blue Cube Studio. The predecessor of the new "Sing It Your Way" winner has come to Volketswil to get to know Alice and her music and to give her a few tips for her career.
Andryy looks back on his own triumph a year ago. He talks about how nervous he was at the time - and how his life as a musician has changed since then. In fact, he is about to release an EP, which will be celebrated in Zurich's Mascotte Club on April 14 with "my biggest concert to date".

Alice Paroissien is not quite there yet. After her victory in the "Sing It Your Way" final a week ago, the singer is now where Andryy was a year ago: at the beginning of what she hopes will be a successful music career. She also looks back on the emotional last few weeks, and in conversation with Andryy, the audience gets to know the Swiss singer better.
She explains that she sees her studies in opera and singing primarily as a back-up in case her own music doesn't work out.
Her winning song "La Sirène" gives hope that this will not happen. "An exciting song with a lot going on," says expert Andryy. Alice explains the lyrical background to him, in which a mermaid beguiles a man with her singing and lures him into a trap. "It reminds me of an opera," says Andryy, "there's something fairytale-like about it."
The video for "La Sirène" is also intended to enchant the audience. For the clip, Alice poses in a metallic-look dress specially designed for performances in the blue cube, which is filled with fascinating visuals of water, shapes and colors.
"It looks sensational, and your voice completely captivated me even without a microphone," says Andryy enthusiastically.
