Would anyone else have been more deserving of the award?

Now Meghan and Harry are clinging to their crowns

The mother of the former Army Ranger had criticized ESPN for presenting Harry with the award. Mary Tillman argued that there are people in the military veteran community who would be more appropriate as a recipient of the award.

Harry mentioned Mary Tillman in his acceptance speech for the award. "Her commitment to Pat's legacy is deeply personal and something I respect," Harry said. "The bond between a mother and a son is eternal and transcends even the greatest of losses."
