Real Madrid outclass Man City, PSG and Bodö also win clearly

The fifth knockout round duel in five consecutive years between Real Madrid and Manchester City has not yet been decided. But the English side will have a Herculean task on their hands to make up for the 3-0 defeat next Tuesday. After the first leg, there is not much to suggest a turnaround. Manchester City could have lost even more, for example if Vinicius Junior had not failed to beat City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with his penalty in the 57th minute.

Arsenal score late on to draw

Arsenal avoided defeat in Leverkusen thanks to a late goal to make it 1-1. In the 89th minute, former Leverkusen player Kai Havertz secured the draw for the English side after a debatable penalty. Leverkusen, with Swiss international goalkeeper Jonas Omlin on the substitutes' bench, scored shortly after the break through captain Robert Andrich from a corner kick and then had the league winners well under control until the penalty. It was Arsenal's first "point loss" in the current Champions League.
