Despite one miss in each of the standing stages, the top favorite was able to hold on to the lead. Second, 8.6 seconds behind, was the American Campbell Wright, who once again surprised everyone in Graubünden. The 22-year-old, who has never stood on the podium in the World Cup before, confirmed his exploit from the previous day when he won silver in the sprint. Bronze went to France's Eric Perrot, who made up eleven places thanks to the fastest time.

The Swiss, who struggled with the difficult wind conditions, failed to achieve the hoped-for improvement. Sebastian Stalder showed unusual weaknesses at the shooting range with four missed targets and dropped from 13th to 27th place. Despite also missing four targets, Niklas Hartweg was the best Swiss, moving up one position to 18th place. Joscha Burkhalter finished 28th and Jérémy Finello, who had started almost three minutes behind, abandoned the race early on.

The next medal race in Lenzerheide is scheduled for Tuesday with the women's singles. The men will follow the next day.
