Ditaji Kambundji takes 6th place in the 100 m hurdles in Philadelphia in her debut in the new Grand Slam Track competition series.
Kambundji finished in 12.79 seconds, eight hundredths slower than on her outdoor debut a week earlier in Rabat, Morocco, as part of the Diamond League. The Bernese athlete's Swiss record is 12.40. The race in Philadelphia was won by Jamaican Ackera Nugent in 12.44.
Kambundji also competed in the 100 m in Philadelphia. In the competition with two series, she finished 11th in the combined rankings in 11.41. In the other section, the American Melissa Jefferson, bronze medal winner at the Olympic Games in Paris, ran a world best of 10.73.
