In her first race of the season, the 21-year-old from Fribourg won the 800 m race at the indoor meeting in Val-de-Reuil, France, in a highly superior 1:57.49 minutes and improved her Swiss indoor record by more than 2 seconds. No athlete in the world has run this distance faster than the Tokyo World Championship finalist so far this year.
At the same meeting, Joceline Wind set a Swiss indoor record over 1 mile in 4:37.02 minutes.
