Ajoie turned the game around in the final period after trailing 1-0 after 40 minutes. T.J. Brennan scored the equalizer after 30 seconds when the Jura team was in double overtime. It was Ajoie's fourth power play goal of the series, the third by the American defenseman.
Matteo Romanenghi scored the winner to make it 2:1 after exactly 52 minutes, with Lugano goalie Adam Huska not cutting the best figure. It was only Romanenghi's second goal of the season. 38 seconds before the end, Jonathan Hazen made it all clear with a shot into the empty net after Romanenghi's preparatory work.
The visitors' only goal was scored by Luca Fazzini, who was celebrating his 30th birthday. The Ticino side's top scorer was successful in the 8th minute after a great individual effort.
