Akira Schmid won the Swiss duel with the Vegas Golden Knights against Roman Josi and the Nashville Predators. The goalie, who was named one of the three best players of the game, made 27 saves to help his team to a clear 7-2 victory. It is the seventh triumph in a row for the Golden Knights.

Josi had a mixed game just one day after the Predators' commanding 7-3 win over the Colorado Avalanche. He assisted on both of the Predators' goals in the loss.

Nino Niederreiter and the Winnipeg Jets lost 4-3 in overtime against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He himself scored the Jets' final goal at the start of the third period to give them a 3-1 lead. For Niederreiter, who was named second-best player of the game, it was his first goal since the end of November.

Timo Meier was also among the scorers on Sunday night Swiss time. He scored his team's only goal for the New Jersey Devils. The game against the Carolina Hurricanes was ultimately lost 1:4. The Devils, who also have Nico Hischier and Jonas Siegenthaler under contract, had previously won two games.

Kevin Fiala also suffered a defeat with the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings lost 2-1 in overtime against the Anaheim Ducks, with Fiala providing one of the assists on the Kings' only goal.
