The Swiss canoeist Alena Marx clearly misses the final in the single kayak in Paris.

The 23-year-old from Bern came 19th in the semi-final in the Olympic whitewater channel. With a running time of just over two minutes, she was more than 17 seconds short of the 12th place she needed.

Marx will have two more chances to win a medal at her second Summer Games: on Wednesday in the single canoe and on Sunday in the kayak cross.
