A good two weeks before the home World Championships in Valais, Alessandra Keller once again shows her good form. The athlete from Nidwalden takes 2nd place in the short track at the start of the Mountain Bike World Cup in Les Gets.

After her victory in Andorra in mid-July, Keller was only beaten by European champion Jenny Rissveds in the French Alps. For the Swiss athlete, who finished seven seconds behind the Swede, it was her third podium finish in the non-Olympic discipline in the seventh race of the season.
Sina Frei just missed out on the podium in fourth place behind New Zealand's Samara Maxwell. With Jolanda Neff in eighth place, a third Swiss woman made it into the top ten.
In the men's race, the Swiss were unable to compete at the front. Dario Lillo finished as the best Swiss rider in 7th place in the first World Cup victory of Briton Charlie Aldridge.
