Allyson Felix plans comeback and Olympic participation

Felix has won a total of eleven Olympic medals: Seven gold, three silver, one bronze. This makes the 40-year-old the most successful female athlete in the history of the Games. She ended her career in 2022.

Felix and her long-time coach Bobby Kersee are planning to start a full training program in October. She is expected to return to competition in 2027. One year later, the Summer Games will take place in her home city of Los Angeles.

"I know that at 40, I'm no longer at the peak of my career. I have no illusions about that," said Felix. "I know exactly what I want and what I want to achieve. And I hope that's how it's perceived."
