Simon Ammann finishes in the points for the second time in a row at the World Cup jumping event in Willingen - something the Toggenburg native has never achieved this season.

Ammann, who was not selected for the Olympic Games, jumped to 26th place in northern Hesse after finishing 23rd in the second competition in Sapporo in mid-January. Ammann was the only Swiss in the final round of the best 30 jumpers. Gregor Deschwanden just missed out in 31st place. Felix Trunz and Sandro Hauswirth missed out on the last World Cup stage before the Olympic Games.

Domen Prevc jumped to his tenth victory of the season with distances of 146.5 and 155 meters. The Slovenian distanced second-placed Ren Nikaido from Japan by 22 points. Third place went to the German Karl Geiger.

The final showdown before the Olympics is scheduled for Sunday with the second competition on the large hill in Willingen.
