The 25th edition of "Talent Treff Tenero" (3T) kicked off in Tenero TI on Sunday evening. Around 500 young athletes from 22 different sports are taking part in the anniversary edition.
The event has been bringing together the best Swiss sports talents aged between 10 and 18 since 2001 and promotes their sporting and personal development, according to a press release issued by Swiss Olympic on Monday.
The anniversary commemorates former famous 3T participants, including Marco Odermatt, Mujinga Kambundji, Noè Ponti, Catherine Debrunner and Nadja Kälin.
In total, more than 20,000 young talents from 64 sports have taken part in the Talent Treff Tenero so far; 42 sports associations have benefited from the program, the statement continued. Many of the athletes are now among the national and international elite.
The opening ceremony included the Olympic oath in all national languages, video messages from former participants and the presentation of an anniversary banner from Swiss Olympic to the Tenero National Youth Sports Center (CST). The 3T is organized by Swiss Olympic in collaboration with the Federal Office of Sport (Baspo) and the CST.
