Alex Marquez wins the second sprint race in a row in the MotoGP World Championship. As in Portimão, the Catalan rider came out on top at his home race in Valencia ahead of compatriot Pedro Acosta.
The Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio prevented a Spanish one-two-three by leaving Raul Fernandez behind in the battle for third place.
The positions in the World Championship standings have been decided. The injured Marc Marquez has been crowned world champion since the end of September. His younger brother Alex has been sure of second place since the end of October and the sprint in Malaysia. And the battle for third place has also been decided ahead of the final race of the season on Sunday. The Italian Marco Bezzecchi can no longer be displaced by Acosta after finishing fifth in the sprint with a 34-point lead.
