Niklas Hartweg impresses once again. The athlete from Schwyz takes 6th place in the pursuit competition at the World Cup event in Nove Mesto in the Czech Republic.
Hartweg had started the competition from this position after finishing 10th in the sprint two days earlier. He impressed both on the cross-country course and in the shooting range, where he hit 19 of the 20 targets. He only had one penalty round due to a miss in the first prone shooting. It was Hartweg's ninth ranking in the top ten this season.
The Swede Sebastian Samuelsson took his first victory this winter, his fifth overall in the World Cup. Samuelsson, who had no misses, won by 35 seconds ahead of the Italian Tommaso Giacomel and Johannes Thingnes Bö. The Norwegian thus retook the lead in the overall World Cup standings. He replaced his compatriot Sturla Holm Laegreid in the top position. Laegreid finished immediately ahead of Hartweg on Saturday.
