Noè Ponti maintains his top form on the World Cup tour in Asia. In Singapore he wins again in the 100 m dolphin. He finishes second in the 100 m medley with a Swiss record.
Singapore is the third stop on the tour after Shanghai and Incheon - and Ponti continued where he left off in the Korean city. He won the 100 m dolphin in 48.60 seconds, more than half a second ahead of the Dutchman Nyls Korstanje. He thus secured the "Triple Crown", having already dominated over this distance in Shanghai before his victory in Incheon.
Only Léon Marchand was faster in the 100m medley. Although Ponti lost 47 hundredths to the French superstar, his time of 50.39 beat his own Swiss record, which he had set just a week and a half earlier in Shanghai, by 27 hundredths.
Thierry Bollin, the second Swiss representative, achieved his second-best time ever in the 50 m crawl with 22.35. This was good enough for 16th place in a strong field.
Ponti is entered for the 200 m medley on Friday. Bollin will be competing in his favorite discipline, the 50 m backstroke.
