The Swiss women continue to win at the World Championships in Uijeongbu in South Korea. The team led by skip Silvana Tirinzoni defeated Japan 9:5 in their fourth game.
The preliminary decision in favor of the quartet with Selina Witschonke, Carole Howald, Tirinzoni and Alina Pätz was made early on. In the third end, the Swiss "stole" three stones to make the score 5:1. After nine ends, the Japanese gave up.
The four-time world champions and last year's runners-up are back in action on Monday. Their next opponents will be Scotland, who have an even record after four games.
