Audrey Werro from Fribourg sets a Swiss record in the 800 m at the Galà dei Castelli in Bellinzona.
The 20-year-old from Fribourg ran the distance at the meeting in Ticino in 1:57.76 minutes, 21 hundredths faster than Selina Büchel nine years ago in Paris.
Werro's Swiss record also made her forget the disappointment of last Thursday. At Weltklasse Zürich she had finished last with a time of 2:06.17.
The other three Swiss women finished further back. Valentina Rosamilia finished fifth, Rachel Pellaud sixth and Lore Hoffmann eighth.
