Two-time MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia continues to close the gap on world championship leader Jorge Martin. He wins the sprint before the Grand Prix of Emilia-Romagna in Misano.
Francesco Bagnaia benefited from a mistake by Jorge Martin after seven of thirteen laps. The Italian then kept the Spaniard, who both ride Ducati, safely at bay.
Bagnaia is now only four points behind his closest title rival. Marc Marquez, on the other hand, has lost some ground again. After two race wins in a row, the Spaniard finished in 4th place.
In Moto3, Swiss rider Noah Dettwiler started from the back of the grid as usual in his debut season. In qualifying, the Basel-based rider finished 25th and second last.
