The duo ran at the front for a long time - but after three reloads by Baserga at the sixth shooting, the gap to the podium places grew significantly. Even a good finish from Stalder was unable to change the final result.

However, the duo Marlene Fichtner/Leonhard Pfund were subsequently disqualified because Fichtner did not shoulder her rifle properly after the last prone shooting. In the end, Finland took the win, France second and Norway third.

In the mixed relay two hours later, Lena Häcki-Gross, Aita Gasparin, Jeremy Finello and Matthias Riebli finished in 10th place. They finished two minutes behind the victorious Italian team.
