The ZSC Lions have signed defenseman Tim Berni for next season. According to the club, the 25-year-old homegrown talent has signed a six-year contract with the Swiss champions.
For Berni, who has been playing for Genève-Servette for two years, it is a return to his roots. He made his National League debut with ZSC in the 2017-18 season. Since then, he has played 291 games in Switzerland's top league and 59 games for the Columbus Blue Jackets in the NHL. Berni took part in his first senior world championship with Switzerland last May.
