In adverse conditions, Zogg had to admit defeat to Germany's Ramona Hofmeister in the final. The Swiss skier, who finished in 6th place the day before, kept up well at first, but then crashed and had to let Hofmeister go. The other two Swiss racers, Flurina Bätschi and Ladina Caviezel, failed to reach the round of 16.

Despite missing out on victory, Zogg was delighted: it was her first appearance in the final for almost a year. She had also recently finished second in the giant slalom in Krynica, Poland.

The slalom actually suits Zogg better. She has finished third on the slalom podium twice this season. In total, the athlete from eastern Switzerland celebrated eleven of her twelve World Cup victories in this discipline, in which she also became World Champion in 2019 and 2023.

Germany also celebrated in the men's event. Elias Huber came out on top in the final, just ahead of Italy's Roland Fischnaller. No Swiss athletes competed in the finals.
