The Dallas Stars with Lian Bichsel are going into the playoffs with a good feeling. At the end of the regular season, they beat the Buffalo Sabres and celebrate their fifth win in a row.

In the duel between the second-best teams in the Eastern and Western Conference, the Stars came out on top. After the score was tied 3-3 in regulation time and no goals were scored in overtime, the shooters of both teams proved to be accurate in the penalty shootout. While the first two attempts landed in the net for the home team, the first and third shooters scored for the visitors from Dallas. Wyatt Johnston finally secured his team's fifth win in a row. Lian Bichsel did not score in just over 20 minutes of ice time.

Bichsel was the only Swiss player to play on Thursday night. Janis Moser was absent in the Tampa Bay Lightning's 4-2 loss to the New York Rangers, as was Philipp Kurashev in the San Jose Sharks' 5-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. Akira Schmid is sidelined with the Vegas Golden Knights. The goalie from Bern was missing from the Golden Knights' squad for the seventh time in a row in their 4-1 win over the Seattle Kraken, who, like the Lightning, have qualified for the playoffs.
