The 19-year-old from Ticino improved by 0.499 points compared to last year's World Championships in Antwerp, where she won the Olympic quota place.
Bickel overstepped twice on the floor, as a result of which she was deducted 0.4 points. She was visibly delighted with her 13.366 points on vault.
After the 1st subdivision, she ranked sixth in the all-around competition. It will probably not be enough for Bickel to take part in the final of the best 24.
