The Slovenian Bine Norcic (44) will succeed Rune Velta as head coach of the Swiss ski jumpers. Norcic has worked in Norway for the last three years.
Norcic will take up his post on June 1, Swiss-Ski announced in a press release. Norcic worked in Norway for three years as assistant and team coordinator. In particular, he looked after the athletes in the Continental Cup. Before that, he was an active member of the Slovenian national team until 2004, before working as a coach in the USA, Canada, Turkey and in his native Slovenia. He achieved a 14th place in the World Cup as an active athlete.
The new "Training Group 2" will be coached by the German Carlo Brömel.
