In a close match at the highest category tournament, the Vergé-Dépré sisters initially made up a set deficit and fought their way back in the tie-break after trailing 9:13. After winning five points in a row, they even served to win the match. However, their opponents from South America held their nerve in the end and prevailed 16:21, 21:16, 16:14.

The tournament in the Canadian metropolis came to a disappointing end for Anouk and Zoé Vergé-Dépré. The next event on the program is the Swiss Championships from 27 to 29 August on the Bundesplatz in Bern.
