Blues lose again against the Kings

Once again, regulation time was not enough to determine the winner in the clash between the Blues and the Kings. The Kings had won the first meeting in this regular season in October 2:1 after overtime, the second in January 5:4 after penalties.

The third win for the Kings, who are still without the injured Kevin Fiala, was secured by American Trevor Moore after just under two minutes of overtime. Canadian Robert Thomas, the Blues' top scorer, had equalized four minutes before the end of the third period. Pius Suter was not involved in this goal.

Like the Kings and the Blues, the San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks are also involved in the battle for a playoff spot. The Sharks, who were without Philipp Kurashev for the fifth time in a row, won the clash between two teams from California 4-3 at home.

Despite their third defeat in a row, the Ducks have a good chance of reaching the knockout phase. They are in fourth place in the Western Conference standings, while the eighth-placed Kings have won one point more than the Sharks and four points more than the Blues.
