The 31-year-old, who switched from Swiss Ski to the South Americans in the summer, finished fourth in the Chinese Secret Garden Resort behind three Japanese riders led by winner Ayumu Hirano.

The Swiss Ski representatives narrowly failed to reach the men's final. Jan Scherrer, who has recovered from a complicated injury sustained over a year ago, was the best Swiss skier in 16th place. In the women's event, Isabelle Lötscher from Zurich finished fifth, equaling her best World Cup result. The victory went to South Korea's Choi Gaon.
