The Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks have lived up to their status as favorites in the NFL and are still one win away from a return to the Super Bowl after more than ten years.
While Seattle beat San Francisco 41-6 and put an end to any dreams of a final home game for the 49ers on February 8, the Broncos had to go into overtime in a dramatic duel with the Buffalo Bills. Denver only prevailed there 33:30 thanks to a field goal.
The jubilation was quickly followed by a low blow: according to head coach Sean Peyton, quarterback Bo Nix suffered a fracture in his right ankle on the penultimate play of the game, will require surgery and will be out for the rest of the season.
With Jarrett Stidham as a replacement, the Broncos will host either the Houston Texans or the New England Patriots again in the AFC Conference Final next Sunday (local time). Seattle will also have home field again when it faces either the Los Angeles Rams or Chicago Bears in the NFC final.
