Kadetten eliminated after a narrow defeat

A draw would have been enough to advance to the round of 16. The cadets got off to a good start: They took a 4:1 lead in the 6th minute. They were ahead for the last time at 10:9 (19th minute). In the 40th minute, Schaffhausen fell behind by two goals for the first time at 17:19, after which they were always behind. The deficit was 27:30 with just over three minutes to go, and the deficit was too heavy. After closing the gap to 29:30, the Kadetten did not regain possession until four seconds before the end.

Schaffhausen lost, despite recording more saves (13:10). Moreno Car impressed with twelve shots saved.
