Fribourg-Gottéron has found a replacement for championship scorer Lucas Wallmark, who is returning to Sweden despite his current contract.

Canadian Anthony Richard is moving to Switzerland on a two-year contract.

For the 29-year-old French-Canadian, who can play both as a wing and center, it is his first commitment in Europe. He made his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2019, but has since played mostly in the AHL.

Fribourg thus has six foreigners under contract again for the coming season.
