Chiara Tamburlini uses her good form to achieve another top result. The St. Gallen native finished in a tie for 3rd place at the Team Series in Shenzhen, China, a tournament on the Ladies European Tour.
One week after her second win of the season, 24-year-old Chiara Tamburlini played two rounds of 69 (minus 4) on the World Cup Course in Mission Hills and finished with a great 65 thanks to five birdies on the last six holes. With an overall score of minus 16 and only one bogey in the three rounds, the player from Niederbüren once again kept the Swiss flag flying high. She achieved her fifth top-three result of the season and consolidated her first place in the Ladies European Tour season rankings.
Two other Swiss women also made the cut. Sisters Morgane and Kim Métraux finished 22nd (minus 8) and 40th (minus 3) respectively.
Chiara Tamburlini also celebrated her first team victory at a Team Series event in China. As captain of the team, the player from eastern Switzerland made a decisive birdie on the last hole.
