Chiara Tamburlini continues her dream season. The St. Gallen native celebrates her third tournament victory of the year on the Ladies European Tour in Taiwan.
With rounds of 66, 73, 68 and 69 strokes, the 24-year-old Tamburlini put in a very solid performance on the par-72 course, performing strongly for long stretches. She was in the lead from day one.
On the final round, she was temporarily put under pressure by the Austrian Emma Spitz, after she had started the last round with a four-shot lead. In the end, Tamburlini was again four strokes and more ahead of the competition. As a result, she continues to lead the annual rankings with a commanding lead.
With this latest triumph, her sixth top three result of the season, Tamburlini has confirmed her excellent form. Two weeks after her success at the Ladies Open de France and just under six months after her maiden victory at the Ladies Open in South Africa, she claimed her third tournament win in her first full season on the Ladies European Tour. Tamburlini only turned professional last summer after graduating from the University of Mississippi.
