Chris McSorley is returning behind the boards. The 63-year-old will lead HC Sierre into the 2025-26 season as coach.
McSorley will also remain the team's team manager and thus take on a dual role, as the Swiss League club from Valais announced. This is the Canadian's third coaching stint in Switzerland. From 2001, he was the face of Genève-Servette for almost 20 years, of which he was co-owner for a time. In 2021, he coached HC Lugano for just over a year.
Sierre finished last season in 5th place in the second-highest Swiss league and lost to Visp in the playoff quarter-finals.
