The Stars continued their impressive series against the Kraken with another win. The team from Texas defeated their rivals from the north-west of the USA for the eighth time without interruption. The run of results began in May of the year before last.
In the latest duel, the final result was already clear after the first period. Canadian Wyatt Johnston equalized with his tenth goal of the season after four and a half minutes on the power play. His compatriot Jaden Schwartz had put the visitors ahead 69 seconds earlier. Tyler Seguin, another Canadian, scored 34 seconds before the first intermission to decide the game. Lian Bichsel was not on the ice for any of the three goals.
The Winnipeg Jets with Nino Niederreiter suffered their third loss in a row with a 4-1 defeat in Anaheim. For their part, the in-form Ducks won for the seventh time in a row.
