The Oklahoma City Thunder take the lead for the first time in the playoff semi-final against the San Antonio Spurs. The defending champions win Game 3 in San Antonio 123-108 after a disastrous start.

Oklahoma, which had lost Game 1 of the best-of-7 series and let home court advantage slip from its grasp at the first opportunity, trailed 15-0 in the first four minutes - a false start that has never happened to a team in a conference final in the 30 or so years of the league's play-by-play record. However, the reigning NBA champions had already erased the deficit by the start of the second quarter.

The players coming off the bench played a decisive role in the successful turnaround. The Thunder bench around Alex Caruso and Jared McCain contributed 76 points to the success - San Antonio's substitutes only managed 23 points. The game's top scorers were Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama with 26 points each.

Game 4 will be played in San Antonio on Monday night. In the second semi-final, the New York Knicks lead 2:0 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
