HC Lugano is strengthening its roster for the upcoming season with the addition of defenseman Enzo Guebey. The Frenchman with a Swiss license has signed a two-year contract with the Ticino club.
The 26-year-old Guebey will join HC Lugano from HC Davos, with whom he is currently playing his third season. The four-time participant in senior world championships is also part of France's squad for the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina.
Another defenseman will no longer play for HC Lugano. Samuel Guerra has reached an agreement with the club's management to prematurely terminate his contract, which would have been valid until the end of the upcoming championship. The 32-year-old Ticino native is currently on loan to EV Zug.
